JO HAGUE
SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE DESIGNER
CORNWALL. SPECIALISING IN 3D SCULPTURAL ARTWORKS FOR INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACES.

I offer bespoke textile pieces from which my designs are inspired by nature and the rolling oceans. I enjoy blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces when making for residential and commercial properties. I am dedicated to providing exceptional levels of design whatever the concept, location and budget. Importantly, I pride myself on working with trusted environmentally conscious techniques.

My creations are handcrafted from found objects that tell a story, generally industrial waste, which are then salvaged and repurposed to make intriguing and unique eco-textiles.

Once I have a design, I source sustainable materials such as organic 100% wool felt, organic cotton and rPET threads which are made from 100% recycled PET bottles. Recently, introducing repurposed nylon threads from local sail makers. These materials are then designed to sit alongside various plastics which have ceased to function in construction, horticultural centres, supermarkets and sea defence projects.  My ethical approach to all my unique and innovative designs is created for people who care about the planet where we minimise waste and make the most of our resources.  I believe in helping to keep plastics out of our landfills, oceans and the air that we breathe and contribute to a better circular economy.

I love nothing more than welcoming friends and customers into my studio. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a visit, tour or commission. I would enjoy collaborating locally or with makers from abroad.
